Find Your Balance: SUP Yoga @ Quail Creek

    Looking for a fun and unique way to stay active? SUP Yoga, or Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga, is offered every Friday morning at Quail Creek State Park. Join Michelle Ennis and DIG Paddlesports UP Yoga for a relaxing journey through a series of strategic yoga poses to enhance your balance and strengthen your core. Experience the joy of yoga, meanwhile getting wet, splashing around and enjoying beautiful views and fresh air. Classes are 90 minutes and include SUP instruction, warm up, flow, playtime and savasana on the water.

    Not only does yoga improve flexibility and balance, but it also maintains a healthy metabolism, improves cardio and circulatory health, protects from injury, and helps manage stress and anxiety, meanwhile enhancing mental well-being. The board acts as a counter balance, forcing you to relax deeper and focus on your form and breath work – one wrong move and you’re in the water.

    However, don’t let this discourage you. All skill levels are welcome – from beginners to experienced yogi’s alike. Feel confident as you are guided by Michelle through your practice. As a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and private yoga instructor, Michelle will teach you proper alignment and aid you in your journey towards becoming stronger and more comfortable in your practice.
